Kare Plus Launches 'Care On A Card' Campaign For Christmas 2020

We are extremely excited to announce the launch of our ‘Care on a Card’ - Christmas Card Campaign #karecards2020 We want anyone and everyone from our Kare Plus network, from nurses and carers to care home residents and followers of Kare Plus, to design our very own Kare Plus Christmas card cover for 2020! If David is good with a pencil, let him draw, or if Sarah is a distinguished painter then get her some brushes! The Christmas themed design is completely up to each participant and will be judged by a select panel from Kare Plus. Formats in which will be accepted for judging include, but are not limited to; - Drawings - Paintings - Photograph/s - Include use of arts and craft All entries must be submitted on or before; Friday 13th November 2020. (We're not superstitious!)

How To Enter:

Step 1. Supply your entry as a photo (PDF, JPEG, PNG) or a copy of the design along with the applicants name, location, care home and email to [email protected] with the Subject Line: Karecards2020 Competition Step 2. Post a picture of the design on your care home social media pages tagging Kare Plus using the hashtag #karecards2020 The winning design will be judged and published on this year's Christmas cards to be handed out to our many 1000's of customers and workforces who are based all over the UK!

As well as the winning design being distributed right across the Kare Plus network, the winner will also receive 100 copies to send to their friends and family AND win a luxurious Fortnum & Mason gift hamper worth £150!

Christmas Cheer!

This year has been particularly tough for everyone, and especially so for those individuals living in care. So, the thinking behind this campaign is to hope to entertain a few folk, spread the Christmas cheer at what may be a difficult time of year in light of Pandemic restrictions with a nice hamper prize in the offering. We are sure you will agree that never have social activities in care homes been more important, especially with the ongoing care home crisis. We are sure that activity teams everywhere would love to try to win the hamper for their home! Or Kare Plus customers to win for their family this Christmas. In support of this campaign we have partnered with NAPA, the National Activity Providers Association charity who will be ciruclating the competition materials on their website and sharing it within their newsletter across the activity teams and coordinators in Care Homes across the UK. In addition to providing activity materials NAPA also run a free helpline for activity professionals, care staff, family carers; anyone who needs one to one support and practical ideas for engagement and activity. They have recently received some funding from the Rayne Foundation for their Christmas Helpline Appeal. While the funding has helped them extend the opening hours, it is only for a limited time, so they are seeking additional donations to support the FREE helpline service. So if you can please donate via the Virgin Money Giving site.
