Kare Plus Redbridge has donated five dementia memory boxes to help residents of a local care home overcome their difficulty recalling past memories.

The care company has donated £250 to Ilford-based care home, Meadow Court to buy five cabinets that will be filled with various memory and thought provoking items to help residents suffering with dementia reminisce about their past.

Lucritia Jones and Habiba Rahman (pictured left with Care Home manager, Vikash) from the Kare Plus Redbridge branch presented the cheque to Meadow Court on Friday afternoon, during the care home’s open day – which included games, entertainment and the home’s knitting club.

Branch Director, Golam Wayes said: “Kare Plus Redbridge has been supplying nurses and care staff to Meadow Court for many months now and a number of our staff have developed a great relationship with the home’s residents.

“In honour of this, we wanted to support the residents and the opportunity to sponsor the new dementia boxes was perfect.”

Kare Plus Redbridge provides trained and compliant nurses and care staff to multiple care settings throughout the Redbridge area. They are also CQC registered to provide a home care service for those who wish to remain in their own home.
