Spring Newsletter: Hopping into New Horizons in Derby

Spring is welcoming us this quarter, as well as new beginnings. Mornings and evenings are lighter, you will notice warmer days and many flowers and cherry blossoms insight.

Changes have been happening all around Derby, such as the change of the Intu shopping center to the Derbion center, as well as the roll out of vaccines in our local centers and arena. Derbyshire has been reported to be the most efficient at administrating vaccines in line the deadlines, with Derby placing second place in the vaccine rollout timeline. With the vaccines and the new road map created by the government, it seems that we are a step closer to putting these trying times behind us. It also seems that we can visit hairdressers soon and get back to normality soon.

Change is also upon us here at Homecare by Kare Plus Derby with the introduction of new staff members. In our Derby branch, we have recruited two new administrators, Dianne and Kharma, to help source qualified care workers and to be appoint of contact throughout the day at our office.

One of our many exciting goals we plan to achieve within the next few months is doubling our staff and operation to provide more care to more clients, create more stable routines and making sure that you and your loved ones always feel supported and heard.

We have new carers starting over the next few weeks so you may see some new fresh faces joining your regular carers while they are out training.

April and May also brings Ramadan, a holy month of the year where those who practice Islam fast, pray and give to charity. Some of our carers will be part-taking in this so expect slight changes to some evening calls, as our carers will be breaking their fasts at sunset for Iftar.

Many thanks and gratitude go out to all our customers who have chosen and put their trust in us to care for them and their loved ones. Special thanks goes out to our wonderful carers and Farzana for all the hard work and dedication over the last few months, the care, love and passion that has been given is truly world class, especially through these unprecedented times.
