About the role:

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will prepare and cook meals for our residents from a pre-planned menu, whilst ensuring that the highest of food quality, safety and hygiene standards are maintained. You will assist where necessary with food ordering, ensuring all food records are accurately and wholly maintained.

About you:

• Previous catering experience within a similar environment
• Practical experience in all areas of a kitchen
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Knowledge of ordering and stock takes
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good numeracy
• Ability to organise and co-ordinate
• Flexible attitude to working arrangements
• Committed to customer care and first class service provision
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Adaptable, friendly, polite, courteous and caring

Qualifications

• Chef’s qualification City & Guilds 705 or equivalent
• Food Hygiene Certificate
