Kare Plus Durham attains Living Wage Foundation accreditation

Kare Plus is excited to announce that Kare Plus Durham recently achieved a Living Wage Foundation accreditation for their commitment to paying staff inline with the national standard.

The living wage is higher than the government’s minimum wage and the national living wage because it is based on an independently calculated cost-of-living figure. This figure is updated each year by the Living Wage Foundation and it is currently £9.00 across the UK and £10.55 in London.

Kare Plus Durham chose to pay the living wage because owner Martin Adams stands by the notion that “a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay,” something I’m sure we can all get behind.

This commitment applies to not only directly employed staff but also to their temporary nursing and healthcare staff working for Kare Plus Durham. Martin commented:

We believe this is a first for any healthcare recruitment agency in the North East and it shows our commitment to the brand and our staff as a caring company.”

I am really proud of this commitment and I am excited to share the good news with our staff, franchise colleagues, clients and the head office Team at Kare Plus,” added Martin.
