One franchise owner in particular that embodies the spirit and energy of this industry is Imran Qureshi of Kare Plus Oxford.
After joining the network in November 2015, Imran moved from strength-to-strength establishing himself as one of the most requested suppliers of care in his territory.
Within twelve months of operating, his Oxford business was confirmed as the biggest provider of residential care across the network – an achievement that he has maintained since then.
The success didn’t happen overnight though, and just like all members of the Kare Plus network, Imran’s journey started with a simple enquiry.
Before joining the Kare Plus network, he had spent a number of years running a telecommunication business but the recession made him question the long-term success of the industry when his business started to fail.
“The recession made me consider what the future held for me so I started looking further afield,” Imran said.
“Healthcare was something that I had always considered and after researching the various options I decided a Kare Plus franchise was the perfect fit for my aspirations.”

When asked what advice he would pass on to other aspiring franchise owners beginning their journey, Imran had the following words of wisdom.
“Franchising doesn’t mean someone will run your business for you,” he said.
“Start from day one and don’t stop. Look at the market, look at the competition. See what sets you apart.
“Find a way to be different and don’t forget, make sure you have fun while doing it.”
