Kare Plus are currently recruiting for support workers to work within the Chesterfield and surrounding areas. Kare Plus covers a variety of settings including; private hospitals, Learning disabilities, mental health units and supported living.

Rate of pay for our support workers is between £10.00 - £15.00 per hour, dependent on the shift and home.

Duties of our support workers will include;

• Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care where required.
• Providing emotional support for an individual.
• Supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks and health visits.
• Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills where appropriate.
• Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
• Safeguard residents
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are always adhered to

Skills required of our support workers; 

• Minimum of three months experience as a support worker, or health care assistant within the last five years
• Willingness to be flexible with hours of work
• Honest, caring and reliable
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on your own or in a team
• Able to cope with the mental and physical demands of the role
• Good level of English both verbal and written
• Provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK

Due to the nature of this post, an Enhanced DBS will be required. We can assist with obtaining a DBS and will advise on signing up to the DBS renewal scheme.
