The Maryhill Burgh Halls are located at the junction of Maryhill Road and Gairbraid Avenue, just across the road from Maryhill Library. The new main entrance to the complex is via the archways leading to the entrance courtyard off Gairbraid Avenue, which we share with the Glasgow Life Maryhill Leisure Centre. Our entrance is on the right hand side of the courtyard. There is a cafe downstairs, where you can have some lunch or coffee!

Getting Here…

You can get to the Burgh Halls in several ways…

By Car: the postcode for the Maryhill Burgh Halls is G20 8YE. Gairbraid Avenue is closed to traffic, so turn off Maryhill Road at Kelvindale Road (junction opposite the modern police station), then turn right up Burnhouse Street, and you will find Gairbraid Avenue on the right. If you miss the turn-off at Burnhouse Street, or it's closed due to roadworks, the street is like a ladder – you can turn right at the next turn-off, then turn right and drive to the end of the street to find Gairbraid Avenue.

Free on street parking is usually available in the vicinity – although please note space outside the Halls itself is very tight, so please only park in the marked bays on Gairbraid Avenue. Six dedicated disabled spaces are available directly opposite the archway entrances.

By Bus: Maryhill Road is well served by buses to and from the city centre; alight outside Maryhill Library, directly opposite the Burgh Halls. See www.travelinescotland.com for more details, bus numbers and times.

By Train: The nearest mainline station is Maryhill, situated about 20 minutes walk (1km, 0.6 miles) north of the Halls, straight along Maryhill Road. For more details, see www.scotrail.co.uk. Hillhead and St Georges Cross Subway stations are also about 20 minutes walk to the south.

By Bike: The canal forms part of National Cycle Route 754; more info atwww.sustrans.org. Bike racks can be found nearby on Maryhill Road and within our entrance courtyard behind the Fire Station Gates off Gairbraid Avenue
