Our client, a top quality care home in Reigate, have a vacancy for a Catering Assistant to join their team.  This is a permanent position working for the client directly.

The opportunity:

A care home based in a beautiful Victorian building, within walking distance to Reigate and Redhill stations and close to a number of bus routes.  Working as part of the catering team, your role will be to assist in the dining area and kitchen.  

• As a premier care home, provide residents with hotel / restaurant quality service.
• Serve meals, drinks and snacks to residents in the dining area or in their rooms.
• Cleaning up after meals, preparing for the next meal service.
• Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, orders, dish washing, etc.

This is a full time role with rota flexibility.  You may choose to work earlies (8am-2.30pm), lates (2.30pm-7.30pm) or long days (8am-7.30pm).  You will be contracted for 33 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts if desired.  You will be expected to work a shift every other weekend.  

• Pay is £9.50 per hour.  You will receive a shift premium of 1.5 or double time for any bank holidays.

About you:

• You are passionate about providing a high quality catering service.  You will have had previous experience as a kitchen assistant or waiter/ess in a care home, restaurant or hotel environment.  
• A team player, with attention to detail and a passion for providing first class customer service.
• You have received at least your first COVID-19 vaccination and are scheduled to receive your second vaccination before 11th November 2021.
• You are eligible to work in the UK and live within commuting distance of Reigate, RH2.
