Kare Plus proud to support essential Stress Awareness Month

Friday, April 1st, 2016 | Raising Awareness

It’s no secret that life in the healthcare industry can be a stressful job – regularly featuring amongst the top contenders for most stressful industries to work in.

Unfortunately, with ever-increasing budget cuts, staff shortages and longer hours on the cards, it doesn’t look as though stress levels as a nurse, carer or any other healthcare professional will be decreasing anytime soon – making Stress Awareness Month this April an essential cause for Kare Plus to support.

Perhaps ironically, stress can play a massive part in your working performance, something which nurses and care workers need to be more aware of than most whilst caring for peoples’ health and livelihoods.

We understand working in this industry prevents unique challenges and particularly stressful situations, which is why we like to make our nurses’ and carers’ work lives run as smoothly and stress free as possible. We provide a work life balance, an award winning support team, nurse revalidation support and access to on-going training and CPD.

This is why, all this month we will be sharing our tips, advice and blogs all about keeping stress at arms’ length - from investing in a stress ball to making time for friends.

To get the ball rolling, you can read our ‘Four ways to avoid stress as a care worker’ blog, but keep an eye on our Facebook page all month for more hints and activities to keep you calm, collected and, best of all, happy!
