About the job:

As an agency Support Worker within Kare Plus, your role will come with flexibility to work short or long day shifts, weekends or a combination of these with the main focus centred around working with people of varying ages and various needs such as autism, mental health, learning disability and drug rehabilitation. Your role will include:

  • Assessing care needs

  • Supporting vulnerable adults doing either 1:1 or 2:1

  • Administering of medication

  • Promoting choice, independence, dignity and respect

  • Adhering to policies and procedures to ensure that the service user's care plan is being delivered

  • Helping to improve the wellbeing of the service users at all times

About you:

This is a challenging role and challenging behaviour shall be a factor, so a calm professional and appropriate attitude is a must.

We expect that you will have a positive mental attitude, a passion to improve the lives of the service users you support and a hard working professional nature with 6 months recent experience in the UK. A full clean UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

More importantly though, you will need to be passionate about what you do and it is essential staff are well organised, hardworking and are able to work using their own initiative as well make decisions, whilst working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You should also be up to date with current evidence based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations.
