Kare Plus are currently recruiting for night healthcare Assistants to work within the Chesterfield and surrounding areas. Kare Plus covers a variety of settings, including Nursing and Residential homes, private hospitals, Learning disabilities, mental health and supported living.

Rate of pay for our Healthcare Assistants/ Care assistants is between £10.00 - £15.00 per hour, dependent on the shift and home.

Duties of our Healthcare Assistants will include;

• Assist and support service users with various needs, illnesses and disabilities
• Assisting with mealtimes
• Assisting with personal care
• Observing, monitoring and recording resident’s conditions
• Maintaining a safe, clean and enjoyable environment
• Domestic duties
• Interacting with residents, ensuring that their needs are understood, and the appropriate care is provided
• Use manual handling equipment safely and correctly
• Safeguard residents
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Skills required of our Healthcare Assistants;

• Minimum of three months experience as a health care assistant, within the last five years
• Willingness to be flexible with hours of work
• Honest, caring and reliable
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on your own or in a team
• Able to cope with the mental and physical demands of the role
• Good level of English both verbal and written
• Provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK

Due to the nature of this post, an Enhanced DBS will be required. We can assist with obtaining a DBS and will advise on signing up to the DBS renewal scheme.
