The role

The role can be varied and will present different tasks or duties dependent on the client's individual needs, your duties may include such things as:

• Companionship e.g. sharing a cup of tea or going for a walk
• Preparing meals or assisting to prepare food
• Ensuring the client is safe and well
• Assisting to complete daily housework that the client may struggle to do alone
• Assisting the client to get ready for the day and also ready for the evening
• Supporting and assisting with medication
• Engaging in activities which the client finds fun, such as playing a board game or completing a jigsaw
