Apprentice Recruitment Consultant

Benefit: Quarterly commission, 28 days' annual leave

As a Recruitment Consultant with Kare Plus your role will be to establish, develop and nurture relationships with our target clients – care homes, residential homes supporting those with learning disabilities, public and private hospitals, and other local healthcare providers.

With 60+ branches in the UK, Kare Plus is a healthcare staffing solutions company which specialises in supplying nurses, healthcare assistants, support workers and other healthcare professionals. The support our staff provide is essential to maintaining the safety and quality of patient care.

Kare Plus Crawley is based in spacious offices conveniently located next to Reigate train station, providing local staffing solutions to our customers based in Reigate, Redhill, Oxted, Horley, Crawley, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, through business development cold calls, service reviews, client visits and marketing campaigns.
  • Negotiate and agree rates and terms of business with clients.
  • Researching clients to better understand their staffing needs, specialisms, location, pay, benefits, etc.
  • Engaging with potential candidates and promoting the profile of Kare Plus Crawley as a local employer of choice for Nurses, HCAs, Support Workers and other roles within healthcare.
  • Sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding candidates.
  • Building strong relationships with candidates, ensuring we are able to offer them the work they are looking for by matching them to available opportunities and marketing their availability to clients.
  • Fulfil client booking requests, including taking part in the business on-call roster.
  • Work towards and exceed targets for client visits, sales calls, new clients, bookings and margins.
  • Other recruitment, sales and administrative tasks as needed to successfully perform the role.

  • You’re self-motivated and resilient.When you have a target you find a way to achieve it.You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You take pride in your work, you’re organised with strong attention to detail.You don’t cut corners.You understand the importance of compliance, safeguarding and health and safety.
  • If you have experience in a relevant industry such as social care, healthcare or nursing this would be helpful, however prior experience as a Recruitment Consultant is not essential as full training will be given.


What we can offer you:

A base salary plus quarterly commission, with a realistic OTE in Year 1 of £22k. Commission is uncapped, you will earn a percentage of all billings once you have reached your target.

There is a Level 3 Recruitment Consultant apprenticeship attached to this position. Not only will you be earning as you’re learning, you will also achieve a recognised qualification at the end of your apprenticeship, which should take 12-15 months to complete.
